Kindergarten Blog Stars 2009/2010
Kindergarten painters explored shapes using a variety of media. These final abstract shape compositions were created with tempera paints. The artists cropped them, choosing their favorite section of the painting. Ms. Babusci applied a paper frame.

This fantastic picture book is a favorite in my classroom. We can all relate to this tale at one time or another. The students laughed through the story and then were inspired to create their own Grumpy Birds.

Kindergarten Blog Stars 2009/2010
After reading the book Pezzettino by Leo Lionni, Kindergarten artists created their own creatures using special paper. Each student named their creature, and then created a background with watercolor paints.
